Perdita Permaul, MD

Dr. Permaul is a skilled and dedicated allergist and immunologist who treats both children and adults. Like Dr. Picone, she completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Harvard’s Children’s Hospital in Boston. During this time, she served as a research fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She completed her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, her medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Permaul is board certified in both allergy and immunology and in pediatrics. She has participated in asthma and food allergy clinical research, and has authored a number of papers in prestigious publications. She has presented her research at local and national meetings and she frequently lectures. Dr. Permaul is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the New Jersey Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Areas of special interest for Dr. Permaul include food allergies, asthma, eczema and immune deficiencies. She is an attending physician at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank and at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Permaul currently resides in downtown Red Bank with her husband.
